Which format to choose
- SVG: vector format, sharp at any size. The best choice for a printer, a poster or layout software.
- PNG: a classic image with an optional transparent background, for a document, a website or social media.
- JPG and WEBP: lightweight images, for the web and emails.
What size to print
Allow at least 2 × 2 cm (about 0.8 in) for a business card, and roughly a tenth of the scanning distance: a QR code read from 1 meter should be about 10 cm wide.
Before printing
- Keep a white margin around the QR code.
- Check the contrast between the dots and the background.
- Scan a printed proof with several phones.
